We do not apply a protective coating to the surfaces of our outdoor products because there is no clear coating that lasts as long as the raw metal itself. This dial thermometer is finished in natural brass and uses a 4.25 inch diameter dial face with an outdoor swivel arm bracket for mounting at just the right angle.
