The year 2000 not only introduced the new millennium but it was also the 1st year of issuance of America s newest dollar introducing the Golden Sacagawea Dollar. This is the Ultimate set to own. This year 2000 set consists of not only a Golden Sacagawea Dollar one each from the Philadelphia and the Denver Mints but you will also receive a San Francisco Mint coin all three in Uncirculated condition. These Uncirculated Sacagawea coins will arrive to you in a protective Collectors Alliance designed lens. Since it s inception the United States Mint has produced three versions of this brilliant Golden Dollar. They are as follows; the first two produced generally for circulation purposes only are known as the Philadelphia and the Denver Mint. These two versions of the coin were minted at the Philadelphia and the Denver Mints are otherwise known as the quot;Pquot; and the quot;Dquot; Mint. The third was a special issue just for collectors it is known as the Proof. This final and more valuable version of the Sacagawea coin was produced at the San Francisco Mint. The United States Mint hasn t released the Sacagawea Dollar into circulation since 2001easily making the last 4 years (2002-2005) key years due to the extreme limited production.
